Founder story
Founded by Georg Stokke in Ålesund, Norway. Started making furniture, including bus seats. Three generations of family ownership until 2014. The iconic Tripp Trapp high chair (1972, designed by Peter Opsvik) has sold over 13 million units worldwide, it's the best-selling piece of furniture in Norwegian history.
